The Newcastle office serves as the regional head office for European activities, providing financial and logistical support services to regional teams.

 

The European Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the acquisition, storage, and distribution of goods for our Pan-European operation. All activity is focused on one key customer service metric: on-time and complete delivery to the customer. This role works closely with vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure inventory health, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Inventory Management System (IMS) metrics to optimise stock holding against demand
  • Place and manage purchase orders, including factory direct programmes
  • Manage import/export declarations and customs warehouse procedures
  • Liaise with vendors and freight forwarders to ensure timely goods-in/out and ETA management
  • Maintain inventory health: ensure data accuracy, manage cycle counting, and address redundancy
  • Manage commodity code maintenance and customs compliance
  • Handle product setup, maintenance, and cross-checks
  • Monitor seasonal demand fluctuations and adjust logistics planning accordingly
  • Support consolidation service projects and exception file management

Qualifications

 

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and systems
  • Experience with import/export procedures and supply chain management
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Numerate, methodical, and a strong communicator
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to anticipate problems and proactively address them
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management (or equivalent education)
  • Familiarity with customs and international trade regulations preferred
  • Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus

 

 

 
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, UK 5 days a week
Reports to: European Logistics Manager
Salary Guide: £29,000 – £31,000, plus benefits (dependent on skills and experience)
